2017 is the year of the Rooster & each year the Liverpool Chinese New Year celebrations get bigger & bigger, they will be enjoyed by more people this year than ever before… if you know the history of Blind Tiger and the inspiration behind the venue then you’re already aware of the significance of the occasion and why it’s a BIG personal highlight of their food & drink calendar…a pop-up menu for the weekend has been prepared & alongside this you will be amazed at the very special spectacle of the Liverpool Hung Gar Kung Fu Club returning to their spiritual home on the main day of the celebrations to perform the famous ceremonial Lion dance to all. The ceremonial Lion you will see all over the city this weekend was actually ‘born’ in Blind Tiger as it was previously the dojo of the Hung Gar school. The blessing of the Lion at Blind Tiger is expected between 3-4pm on the main day of the celebrations, Sunday.
