Temple Tavern opened its doors in the old Reiss Liverpool Store over the weekend as the sunshine came out across the region. Situated in the heart of the Cavern Quarter off the world famous Mathew Street this site offers real pub vibes and wallet-friendly pricing.
Blending authentic Irish character with a fresh local energy, Temple Tavern is more than just a bar—it’s a celebration of community, music, and great craic. Guests can expect live music every day, with traditional Irish music sessions (“Trad Sessions”) featured throughout the week.
The drinks menu boasts a curated selection of over 30 Irish whiskeys, plus rotating special offers to keep the good times flowing without breaking the bank. Whether you’re after a relaxed pint, lively music, or a taste of Ireland in the heart of Liverpool, Temple Tavern delivers the full experience.
Shannon Gaynor – Operations Manager said: “We’re really excited to bring this new Irish venue to Mathew Street. Temple Tavern is an intimate yet lively pub with lots packed into it, from the detail that’s gone into the interiors to the traditional Irish music. We have rolled back pricing to what you expect from a local pub so we’re going to be pretty unique compared to most city centre venues as well. The launch weekend was a huge success and we look forward to a busy summer in the city.”
This is the latest venue to open from local independent Pub Invest Group, who operate over 40 sites across the city centre of Liverpool from Level and Erics to the Old Bank and the Rubber Soul Complex.
A total of 30 new part-time and full time jobs have been created at the new site, which is split over two floors and also features outdoor seating, perfect for the summer months again.
