Swanky Malone Hair Shop in Garston celebrates a year in business this November. But even before this milestone can be reached, just 11 months after opening the doors of his first salon, company director Cameron Stananought is getting set to showcase his work at renowned hairdressing exhibition Salon International 2014.

On Wednesday 12th November 2014 the Swanky Malone team will open their doors to clients old and new as they host a drinks reception celebrating the salon’s first anniversary. Cameron, along with salon manager Laurence Morris, will be on hand to provide free consultations throughout the evening. The guys are also teaming up with Aigburth beauty and aesthetic businesses Woodlands Spa and Evergreen Clinic for your pampering pleasure. This wonderful opportunity for a spot of indulgence will take place 6:30 – 8:30pm and those in the area are invited to drop in for a vino and a goody bag.

Before the birthday bunting can be hung, Swanky’s director and lead stylist has business to attend to at London’s ExCeL Arena. Earlier in the year the 23-year-old was placed on the sought after TIGI Inspirational Youth Team. Since July Cameron, along with just nine other carefully selected young stylists from around the UK, has received training and mentoring from top industry talent. On Monday 13th October the 2014 Inspirational Youth programme will culminate with the opportunity for Cameron to showcase his work in a live show at the Salon International conference.

Cameron said:

“I am nervous, of course, but so excited and honoured to be showcasing work at Salon International. TIGI Inspirational Youth is well respected within the industry, so just to be selected was amazing. I have leaned so much about styling and colouring, as well as the latest trends and fashions, so my clients are already seeing the benefits of my involvement. Having my work on stage in front of hundreds of industry professionals will really put Swanky Malone Liverpool on the map.

“Of course my biggest achievement of the past 12 months has been building up such an amazing regular client base at Swanky Malone. I always wanted to create a comfortable environment, with a focus on great style, that would appeal to the whole community – men and women, young and old – and I am proud to say that we seem to be striking that balance. Our team has grown, our services have increased and we have big plans for the future.”
