Save The Rave is back in Liverpool for its first ever Christmas special!
The epic music night is swapping the festival field for a takeover of the city’s 051 club in December with seven hours of high-energy 90s and 00s dance anthems, legendary DJs, and plenty of amazing PA’s to take you back in time.
Bringing back the nostalgia and the energy ‘as only we can’, organisers are promising a full-throttle lights and laser production with hands-in-the-air moments to create the city’s ‘ultimate Christmas night out.’
Tickets are now on sale for the event on Saturday, December 6th.
P*rn Kings, Rachel McFarlane and 2Funky2 will lead the legendary acts performing on the night along with well-known DJs Lee Butler, Ian Longo, Rob Cain, Miss Mollie and 051 vinyl legend Dave Graham.
DJ and Promoter Davy T said: “It’s great to see people still love these old skool tunes, even more unbelievable is that they are today still the biggest tracks on the dancefloor. Brothers & Sisters we did in 1992 and then Porn Kings started in 1996 with ‘Up to No Good,’ ‘Rock to the Rhythm’ and ‘Shake Ya Shimmy’ and so many more. We are gonna blow up Save the Rave at Club 051 this December.”
Up-and-coming Rapid DJ and Wes P will complete the line-up as new Save The Rave owners plan their own mix up of the cult event that attracts more than 100,000+ to summer festivals across the UK every year.
Bringing in the changes not only means the first-ever Christmas event, but a host of club collaborations and intimate gigs to run alongside the massive outdoor crowd-pullers in 2026 (of which more in different locations are being planned).
As they press the refresh button, as well as the regular names that draw in Save The Rave fans, there’ll be new headline acts too, and the opportunity for emerging artists and DJs to perform ‘to give something back.’
“The idea is that it won’t be a case of if you’ve seen one Save The Rave, you’ve seen them all,” says new co-owner Ste James. “We’re going to bring in more headline acts, smaller intimate events, and different music genres to take it to more people across the country. We are doing a night at the iconic 051 as part of the brand refresh and our fresh approach with the brand to do more club take overs and collabs.
“But every one of them will take you back to carefree days when you were younger and allow you to enjoy the music, enjoy the atmosphere and have a great time. “It’s going to be really exciting.”
All the events – including the Christmas special which starts at just £17 per ticket – will be priced to make them available to everyone: “I don’t know quite how to say it, but people are being squeezed across the board at the moment and we want to provide affordable fun to everyone because they need it more than ever right now,” adds Ste.
“The Save The Rave 051 Christmas special provides an alternative to the works’ festive get-together, and the chance to just let your hair down, forget your worries, and have a boss night out.”
051 Legend Dave Graham adds: “I played the Save the Rave Festival in Southport a few years ago and it was amazing. Now it is coming to the 051 in Liverpool , there couldn’t really be a better venue could there ? It is where dance music exploded back in the 90s and to be able to re-create that electric atmosphere will be just epic. Save the Rave events are just full of energy and I think this next one is going to be very, very special. See you there.”
