Fire-fighters were called to the former Trinity Catholic Primary School site in Eldon Street in the Vauxhall area last month as part of the building collapsed after a fire broke out. Luckily there were no injuries

The site of the former Trinity Catholic Primary School (the new school is based elsewhere), near Vauxhall Road is now to be demolished by Mees Demolition Group Work will begin on the 15,000 square foot site this week and is expected to take 3 weeks. The timber and brick structure site has recently been used since Trinity Catholic School moved, as offices. The cause of the fire is still to be confirmed but is expected to be electrical based.

Mees Demolition Group have been awarded the contract by EEP Ltd and

Thomas Mee said “This site was really badly damaged by a huge fire several weeks ago and the structure is dangerous currently. We will be completely clearing this site and as of yet there are no plans for any new development on this site.”

Mees Demolition Group are very active currently in the city of Liverpool, especially in and around the Northern Perimeter of the city centre with the recent demolition of the Trinity Towers Elliot Group project on Leeds Street as well as a major cleanup operation on Acorn Way in Bootle.
