First time business owner Susie Moran turned her passion into a reality when she launched Luxus Designer Boutique on Aigburth Road in November. The independent fashion retailer is now open Tuesday to Saturday, stocking collections by a number of up-and-coming European designers.
The selection of items available at Luxus has been lovingly curated by Susie, to display a range of quirky, easy-to-wear, affordable designer pieces that compliment each other perfectly. The Aigburth boutique is the only place in the Northwest where you will find German brand Creare, a conceptual collection of structured, edgy pieces in monochrome and metallics, designed to work as an effortlessly complimentary wardrobe. This collection sits alongside quirky, comfortable, stand-out pieces from Dutch fashion house Boris Industries, as well as selected items from other European fashion names including Champagne, La Bass and Transparente.
Susie Moran, owner of Luxus, said:
“My intention is that Luxus will never follow the crowd. Fashion can be a wonderful way to express yourself and I’d like Luxus to be a place where people can find their self-expression. The range I offer will always be eclectic, enjoyable to wear, super stylish and, of course, luxurious. Many of our pieces are gender neutral, versatile investment pieces.
“Luxus is German for luxury. I believe luxurious clothing should flatter the wearer, enable you to express your unique sense of style and dress up or dress down. All of the designs we have launched with meet this criteria and I will work hard to make sure that continues to be the case with each changing season.”
Susie, from Liverpool, first worked in fashion retail when she left school and her dream of one day owning her own boutique began then.
Susie continued:
“So far I’m enjoying all of the challenges that being a business owner is bringing but my favourite part of the role is welcoming and getting to know the customers. Offering a personal service is all part of the Luxus experience and it’s my pleasure to do it.”
