Mees Demolition Group, part of the Mees Group, are about to start demolition work on the Elliot Groups flagship scheme – Infinity, in Liverpool City Centre.

The landmark development forms a stunning gateway to Liverpool’s business district and historic waterfront. Infinity is ideally situated within easy walking distance of Liverpool City Centre, Moorfields underground station and is adjacent to one of the city’s arterial routes, Leeds Street.

The scheme comprises 3 stunning glazed residential towers which are designed to maximize views out over the River Mersey, whilst providing communal facilities on a podium at the base of the towers. The communal facilities comprise 2 landscaped gardens, a resident gym and cinema and a number of resident lounges and meeting rooms. The lower levels of the scheme create a secure lay-by facility for residents with a dedicated secure entrance for each of the towers.

Thomas Mee from Mees Demolition said “In relation to our role, we are demolishing three buildings on the site totalling 30,000sq ft. and clearing the car parking areas for development. We anticipate commencing work in Spring this year. We have worked closely with the Elliot Group on their Erskine Street site in Liverpool by over by the Royal Hospital recently and are delighted to be appointed on this flagship scheme also. This site will certainly be a game changer in the skyline of our city. At Mees Demolition we are aiming for as much sustainability as possible in demolition / deconstruction works. While complete deconstruction is the preferred and most sustainable method for removing or renovating a structure, it is not always possible due to the type of building and/or its components. Here at Mees Demolition we aim to cut down on the amount of landfill wherever possible and bring this philosophy to every job we do.”

The three towers are due to be completed across the next 2-3 years with a mixture of 1, 2 and 3 bedroom apartments and penthouses.
