What is a Hammam?
A traditional Hammam is an ancient cleansing ritual designed to detoxify the body and mind. Once changed, guests begin their journey in the shower area before relaxing in the dry sauna. This is followed by a full-body exfoliation (kese) and lathering foam treatment, concluding with a soothing massage.
A Rich Local History
Originally opened in 2015 as Adam & Eve by General Manager Lillian Scott’s late niece, Carol, the business has long been a staple of the local community. Following Carol’s sad passing in the summer of 2023, Lillian partnered with the building’s landlord, Frank Campbell, to honor Carol’s legacy through a full rebranding and refurbishment—breathing new life into the sanctuary.
“We are passionate about delivering the ultimate Turkish Bath experience,” said General Manager Lillian Scott, who has been with the venue for 11 years. “Our newly refurbished venue creates an even more welcoming atmosphere where guests can unwind completely. Our dedicated, friendly, and professionally trained team is here to ensure every visitor feels comfortable, cared for, and leaves feeling fully refreshed.”
She added: “In a fast-paced digital world, it is more important than ever to take time out to unwind and cleanse both body and mind. We welcome clients of all ages to enjoy our little oasis in the middle of the city.”
