Celeb haunt Kingdom on Harrington Street in Liverpool opens its doors this Sunday 30th April after a major refurbishment which has transformed the nightspot as it evolves ready for another 10 years on top.
The venue opened as a bard in 2007 and fast became the cities top celeb hotspot, with footballers, TV stars and even Keeping up with the Kardashians star Scott Disick frequenting the venue over the past 10 years. It has evolved over the years and is now more of a nightclub than bar and to move into the next 10 years owners thought it was now time to transform the venue. In keeping with the refurb of the Baccarat Lounge (The VIP lounge at the back of the club) the venue will now be transformed throughout.
In recent years the venue became known for its Saturday night parties fusing live singers and musicians with DJ’s. Kylie Auldist flew in from Australia to perform the club hit of the year ‘Kungs – This Girl’ last year and New Years Eve saw Dyo perform ‘Neiked – Sexual’.
Lovely Laura, everyone’s favourite sax player in Ibiza also performed at Kingdom last month.
Explaining the concept for the design Emma Bruffell, Business Development Manager said “Entering a new Kingdom, the concept for the design drives from a play on words. The dark interior and over run foliage featured within the space complement each other making for an intimate and mysterious experience. Brass and copper details add a touch of elegance to reflect the clubs brand and clientele. The overall experience of the new Kingdom is to take the customers to a unique and welcoming space in which offers a high level of design in line with the clubs renowned high level of service. Emma added – We start with a massive night on Sunday 30th April with live on stage Alex Mills performing ‘Something Special Sexy Wonderful and Be Somebody ‘ and we cannot wait to let our loyal customers see our new look.”
Baccarat Lounge
The Baccarat Lounge, tucked away within Kingdom at that back of the venue, made its debut in Liverpool last June. The reservation-only ultra VIP lounge provides a five star service akin to that of London’s most exclusive night spots.
The Baccarat Lounge offers service unrivalled elsewhere in the city. Parties of up to 15 people can reserve one of the lounge’s eight tables and expect to be attentively waited on by a team of dedicated hosts and hostesses for the duration of their evening.
The venue, an exclusive collaboration with Dom Perignon – premium champagne produced by the house of Moët & Chandon – offers the finest selection of champagnes and champagne cocktails. Dom Perignon by the glass. A premium cocktail selection regularly rotated to offer something new to returning visitors and, for connoisseurs of cognac, the full Hennessey range including a Hennessey Experience package.
On offer as Baccarat Lounge’s house champagne is a new product, Moët Ice Imperial, designed to be served over ice. With sugar content slightly higher than other champagnes from the brand, the drink can be mixed with ice without losing its distinctive flavour.
The scene is set with the subtle opulence of monochrome décor. A bold black lounge, lit by the glow of white, illuminated tables which welcome guests with a carefully selected soundtrack.
Since opening at the back of Kingdom this booking only section has entertained guests such as Rio Ferdinand and Steven Gerrard to name a few.
So in less than a year the whole venue has seen a huge overhaul as the team at Kingdom prepare for another 10 years of Liverpool most celebrated party nights.
