Celeb haunt Kingdom is to close after 10 years !!! – but don’t worry it’s only for a few weeks for a major refurbishment to transform the Harrington Street nightspot.
The venue opened as a bard in 2007 and fast became the cities top celeb hotspot, with footballers, TV stars and even Keeping up with the Kardashians star Scott Disick frequenting the venue over the past 10 years. It has evolved over the years and is now more of a nightclub than bar and to move into the next 10 years owners thought it was now time to transform the venue. In keeping with the refurb of the Baccarat Lounge (The VIP lounge at the back of the club) the venue will now be transformed throughout.
In recent years the venue became known for its Saturday night parties fusing live singers and musicians with DJ’s. Kylie Auldist flew in from Australia to perform the club hit of the year ‘Kungs – This Girl’ last year and New Years Eve saw Dyo perform ‘Neiked – Sexual’.
Lovely Laura, everyone’s favourite sax player in Ibiza also performed at Kingdom last month.
To celebrate closing for a major overhaul Kingdom has announced a Hed Kandi classics closing party on Easter Sunday 16th April to bring the curtain down on the last 10 years at Kingdom.
The venue is to be completely stripped out to allow an entirely new Kingdom to take shape inside. Bosses have recruited renowned interior designer Delita Cole to unleash her creative genius on the new Kingdom.
Emma Bruffell, business development manager says “Since 2007 Kingdom has not only set, but been the standard bearer for the Liverpool scene. So before the new look Kingdom is unleashed upon the world, time is being called on the first decade with a Hedkandi classics closing party – and it’s going to be emotional. On Easter Sunday this almighty blowout will bring the curtain down on ten years at the beating heart of Liverpool’s late night landscape, as Kingdom celebrates 3650 days of wild parties and legendary times with a deserved send off.”
The Hedkandi classics send off will be tickets or tables only and customers are being encouraged to contact the venue on 01512551559 for tickets.
The new look Kingdom will re-open at the end of April.
