Liverpool success leads Gulf House to Manchester.
Liverpool’s brand-new Middle Eastern restaurant, Gulf House Restaurant, has taken the city by storm, celebrating a phenomenal start since opening in September this year. A staggering 1,500 visitors flocked to the venue during its opening weekend, and many have continued to return ever since.
The overwhelming success has now fast-tracked the owners to look at expansion, starting with three new locations in Manchester by 2025/2026.
A spokesman for Gulf House Restaurant said:
“We expected a successful start, but it has surpassed anything we could have hoped for. To have had so many customers, especially English customers, wanting to experience our food and our culture has been truly amazing.”
Step Into Dubai 1970s souk
Gulf House Restaurant offers guests an immersive journey back in time, reminiscent of a traditional Gulf souk in Dubai during the 1970s. From the moment guests step inside, they are transported to the Middle East, surrounded by rich cultural décor that includes terracotta mud-effect walls, traditional Arabic script, woven rugs, and immerses diners into an authentic experience that feels a world away from dining in the North West of England.
Although there are tables and chairs for those who prefer them, in some areas guests can take off their shoes before sitting on the floor surrounded by Arab Gulf Khaleeji-style cushions. Soft carpets create a comfortable and cosy space where they can enjoy a traditional spiced-filled sharing feast, while listening to the soulful sounds of Arabian music.
The restaurant creates an unparalleled sense of escapism. Many visitors, particularly English and Asian customers, have described feeling as though they have left the UK altogether, transported to a bustling souk decades ago in the heart of Dubai.
Now the team would like to open several new sites in Manchester. The Gulf House spokesperson continues:
“Manchester was part of our business plan for 2026, but not this soon. We believe the success of Gulf House is due to a sense of nostalgia as many guests have either visited places like Dubai or worked in the Middle East and are eager to relive the warm memories of those experiences. Manchester has a vast Middle Eastern population and we feel this links in perfectly with what we have to offer.”
Franchise Opportunities: A Unique Investment Model
Gulf House Restaurant has officially opened its doors to franchise opportunities in the UK and EU, with the first franchises launching in 2025. What makes this opportunity unique is that no upfront payment is required until investors achieve their full return on investment. Despite this, franchisees receive full operational support from the Gulf House team, ensuring a seamless experience.
The response has been incredible, with many applications already received, and interest continues to grow. Gulf House strongly encourages those interested in this one-of-a-kind opportunity to apply early to secure their place in this expanding success story.
The Gulf House would ideally like to open 3 more sites across the Manchester region. The Gulf House spokesperson continues:
“In times of a cost of living crisis people want to know they’re going to get value for money with no compromise on the flavours or quality of the dishes being served. But it’s not just about the food, it’s about the experience, and sharing our culture and a little escapism, and guests love that too. It’s about bringing our food and our culture together under one roof.”
A Dining Experience with Purpose
At Gulf House Restaurant, every meal carries a deeper significance. The company has made a long-term commitment to donate 5% of its net profit to support the children of Gaza. This initiative is not temporary; it is a core part of the Gulf House ethos. As a result, every guest dining at Gulf House is contributing to a meaningful cause.
A New Era for Manchester
With plans to open three locations in Manchester by 2025/2026, Gulf House Restaurant is excited to share its authentic cuisine, soulful atmosphere, and cultural charm with new audiences. For now, guests from Manchester, Bradford, and beyond continue to travel to Liverpool, eager to experience the magic that Gulf House offers.
