The unique estate agency has no shop front but operates throughout Liverpool, contactable by phone and online. As a result of this, as well as a number of other clever business decisions, Good Buy saves on overheads and is able to pass those savings on to clients. Tim and his team sell houses for a one off fee, with packages starting from as low as £99.
Tim McInally, Director of Good Buy Estate Agents said, “When I was working as a property consultant a friend asked me why selling a house couldn’t be as straightforward as selling a car on the likes of Autotrader, or similar sites. With those sites you take some photos, write yourself a description and pay a set fee to advertise. The answer is that property sellers can’t advertise on the all-important property sites themselves, they need an agent to do that for them. I realised though that there was no reason why an agent couldn’t offer that kind of simple, low cost solution.”
“Some people like a more hands-on service, so I still handle viewings for some of my clients but I’ve found that many people like to have the freedom to take their own photos, write their own description and show people around the property themselves.”
Tim worked for a well-known Liverpool estate agency firm for a number of years, before leaving to establish his own property consultancy. Following 18 months of successful self-employment, the entrepreneur launched Good Buy Estate Agency late 2017 and is already proving to be stiff competition for higher prices local agencies.
Tim continued, “At Good Buy we offer every service that you’d expect an estate agent to provide. Our difference is that we let you pick and choose what services you take from us. We give sellers more control over how their property is presented on Rightmove and Zoopla and we take less money for doing it.”
