Envi on Fleet Street Liverpool city centre has held some fantastic gigs over the past few month including Heatwave, Rose Royce and Alexander O’ Neal who has had huge hits such as Fake. Now it’s time for the Future Stars to perform on stage. There are 2 bands at the moment that have set the city alight and are tipped for big futures. Like the Beatles in birthplace and raw talent the 5 teens from Liverpool that make up MiC LOWRY are singing and harmonizing their way to success. Kaine Ofoeme, Akia Jones, Delleile Ankrah, Michael Welche and Ben Sharples are ready to put Liverpool back on the world’s lips… again

MiC LOWRY is a five-piece boy band that was formed mid 2011 by local performing arts training and Management Company Positive Impact based in Liverpool 8. The boys are aged 17 & 18 yrs old, they all possess a love of singing and performing. The boys are also gifted musicians Michael -guitar, Ben Piano & Sax – Akia, Delleile and Kaine have recently started learning guitar, bass and drums.

The boys have spent the last 18 months honing and perfecting their sound, aspiring to be on par with their musical predecessors. They have recently started recording original material written by Liverpool singer/songwriter and Mobo Unsung winner Esco Williams (who is also the boy’s musical mentor) and have also started writing their own material.

Musical taste includes the music of Boys II Men, Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, John Legend, Frank Ocean, Jazmine Sullivan and Ed Sheeran.

After several appearances on the Liverpool Scene followed by recordings of performances aired on YouTube and Twitter, MiC LOWRY are starting to amass a following, gaining some 11,000 followers on Twitter in a short space of time. Achievements to date include:-

MiC LOWRY were runners up in MTV’s Brand New Unsigned competition of ‘ones to watch’ in 2013.

MiC LOWRY are the winners of the national Under 19’s Rock the House Music Competition 2013 and are one of 3 nominees in the Liverpool Music Awards to win the Michael Malloy Youth Music Award, to be announced later this month.

MiC LOWRY can be seen performing in the new urban film ‘It’s a Lot’which will hit the Cinema’s in September.

The there are The Val3ntine Brothers, who are 3 brothers from Liverpool who are quickly gaining more and more notoriety for their musical talent. So much so that Camilla Al Fayed, the daughter of Al Fayed, spotted them at Miss Liverpool a couple of months ago and booked them instantly.

The 3 teenagers were asked to open Lawnfest in Seven Oaks Kent which took place in July. This is Camilla Al Fayeds yearly festival & proceeds go to Camilla’s Foundation who help and support disadvantaged children and the boys shared the stage with Billy Ocean.

Wanting to continue with their development of their live events the trio played the 02 Academy in June this year and made history as they become the youngest acoustic band to headline the O2 Academy- Liverpool.

Local music experts are calling them the new Bee Gees! Big shoes to follow but Co Manager & Father – Si Valentine said “We have all been shocked at the amazing reaction the Val3ntine Brothers have had from pupils, staff and parents on the Radio City Live tour and the arrangements they have put together for this event are awesome!”

John Hughes of Envi added “We have had some fantastic monthly events to date and have Azwad performing here on Sunday 25th August with Ray Lewis from the Drifters, but we also wanted to help showcase these 2 talented young bands. Local talent that can show just what they can do.”
