Abbey Road Bar & Kitchen, in the commercial district of Liverpool City Centre on Harrington Street, will open their doors this Saturday 4th July for only the second time ! The bar holds what could be a record and a future quiz question as the first bar to open and close on the same day! As the site opened on Friday 20th March, the night all licensed premises were closed from midnight.
Now over 3 months later the team behind the venue are happy to be able to open their doors this coming Saturday 4th July as pubs, bars and restaurants are officially allowed to open. The site will open from 12 until 11 and no bookings are needed. You can just arrive and be greeted at the door by a host who will book you a table in.
The venue, which has several one-off paintings by Liverpool’s very own Paul Curtis is a real sports bar with pool tables, TV’s on every wall and a huge selection of beers. Nestled between Castle Street and North John Street it’s ideal spot distance was for a pub lunch for the tens of thousands who work around the commercial area.
General Manager of the site Brendan Soprano said “ We are looking forward to opening/launching again this week and hopefully for longer than 7 hours. We have all the safety measures laid out by the government and LCC in place and we will be open until 11pm with all premier league matches being shown.”
Saturday will also see the sister venue to the site, the very popular Harrions on the corner of Victoria St and North John Street open also from midday. As per Abbey Road no booking is needed but you will be greeted and booked in by a member of staff at the entrance for your table.
